Alison Penney
Alison is a keen, motivated teacher with experience in teaching all Primary year levels. She has a strong interest in being involved in, and promoting the performing arts. She has directed bands, choirs, recorder groups and percussion ensembles. Alison has taught music in Primary Schools for 17 years - the last 2 years with the Jellybeans In-Schools program. She has written "Let's Sing About HSIE" Series, started a music education resources business called Bluesette Music, and composed several band scores and choral works. These have been performed by 400 children at the Hornsby District Music Festival and at other local music festivals.
Most exciting is an upcoming trip to Nashville, USA to compete in the International Blues Band Festival as a result of winning here in Australia. We wish Alison and her group the very best of luck!
